Job description

  • Lead and manage strategic business transformation and process improvement projects from planning through implementation using established project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Develop project plans, roadmaps, timelines, resource strategies, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, business requirements, success metrics, and implementation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, manage issue and action logs, and develop mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate project meetings, executive updates, stakeholder communications, and status reporting while providing clear visibility into project performance and key milestones.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives by supporting process redesign, stakeholder engagement, change management, and end-user adoption efforts.
  • Conduct business process analysis, gap analysis (ā€œcurrent stateā€ to ā€œfuture stateā€), and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and organizational performance.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and performance metrics to measure project outcomes and support leadership decision-making.
  • Coordinate project resources, resolve cross-functional dependencies, and collaborate with sponsors to remove obstacles and maintain project momentum.
  • Develop training materials, process documentation, and knowledge transfer plans to support successful implementation and long-term sustainability.
  • Build strong relationships with executive sponsors, business leaders, and project stakeholders while providing expert guidance on project management best practices.
  • Maintain project documentation, records, and governance artifacts in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements., 1. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management experience with an applicable bachelor’s degree, 12+ years with a non-related bachelor’s degree, or 14+ years of equivalent experience without a bachelor’s degree.
  • Extensive experience leading medium- to large-scale, cross-functional projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution through implementation and closeout.
  • Demonstrated experience applying industry-standard project management methodologies, including project planning, scheduling, risk management, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of business process improvement, product management, process management, and organizational transformation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills with the ability to develop practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, facilitate executive-level meetings, influence stakeholders, and build consensus across diverse business groups.
  • Experience presenting complex business and technical information to executive, business, and technical audiences.

Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental stewardship, is seeking a Project Manager for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role, you will lead and support strategic business transformation initiatives that improve operational performance, streamline business processes, and advance organizational goals. Responsibilities include managing complex cross-functional projects, partnering with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives, overseeing project portfolios, and driving process improvements that support long-term operational success.
