Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you lead security across programs in the Product Cybersecurity team, guiding secure development of avionics and embedded systems. You shape threat models, implement safeguards, and drive security testing and RMF/DO-326A/DO-356A adherence. You collaborate with system and software teams to integrate security into roadmaps and development. The position emphasizes hands-on security expertise, mentoring, and industry collaboration to advance aviation cybersecurity. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as security SME for programs and lead cross-functional teams * Analyze systems to identify attack vectors and assess risk for products * Advise program leaders on security tech in product roadmaps * Ensure proper security measures during development * Develop and deploy security testing tools to identify flaws * Characterize vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigations * Foster adoption of Avionics SSDLC and RMF DO-326A/DO-356A * Mentor junior security engineers and participate in industry groups Tasks * Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience (or Advanced Degree with 5+ years) * U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance * Experience in product cybersecurity, embedded software, or secure system design * Embedded software knowledge (Python, Java/C/C++) * Experience analyzing systems and security architectures Key requirements * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Three weeks of vacation * Generous 401(k) plan with matching and retirement options * Tuition reimbursement * Student loan repayment program * Life insurance and disability coverage
