Software Engineer (Full Stack)

THE ROLE: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Software Engineer, as a member of the Software Analytics Team; they will architect, design, develop and test Java software applications. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met. • Has strong customer focus REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a software development related field
• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, C++, C#, JavaScript or other web development related technologies), preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform developing Systems software
• Ability to work independently, excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally with both local and remote sites
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards

• Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF YOU:

• Have experience with online distributed systems and platform infrastructure design and implementation
• Have experience with designing and developing REST Web Services
• Spring Framework Experience or other like Framework
• Have experience in no SQL databases, big data systems or business intelligence products
• Have experience with Agile (SCRUM, RUP, XP), OO modeling, web services, UNIX, middleware, database and data mining systems EOE/FEMALES/MINORITIES/PROTECTED VETERANS/DISABLED
