THE ROLE: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Software Engineer, as a member of the Software Engineering Team; they will architect, design, develop and test Java and C# software applications. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met.   • Build game-changing embedded software applications for the Utility industry
  • Collaborate with other development teams to ensure products work flawlessly within Sensus solutions and with 3rd party offerings.
  • Take great personal pride in building robust modular software

Requirements

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer focus MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a software development related field
  • Commercial software and or mobile development experience
  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, C# and/or C++), preferably on Windows Mobile, Windows Enterprise, UNIX or Linux platform developing Systems software
  • Strong Embedded Systems Development experience
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally with both local and remote sites
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams
  • Platform infrastructure design and implementation
  • Designing and developing communications protocols
  • SQL Database experience
  • Demonstrate experience in several, complete, large-scale projects
  • iOS and Android platform development using Xamarin PHYSICAL DEMANDS
