Job description
The DataStage Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. This role supports enterprise data integration initiatives by extracting data from multiple source systems, transforming it according to business requirements, and loading it into data warehouses, data marts, or operational databases. The developer works closely with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, application teams, and project managers to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions that ensure data quality, integrity, and availability., * Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage
- Extract data from multiple source systems and transform it according to business requirements
- Load data into data warehouses, data marts, or operational databases
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, and project managers
- Deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions ensuring data quality and integrity
Requirements
- 5+ years of ETL/Data Integration development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on IBM DataStage development experience
- Strong experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage
- Proficiency in ETL development and data integration concepts
- Strong SQL and database development skills
- Knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and data governance
- Experience with UNIX/Linux scripting and job scheduling tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall development environments
Desired skills:
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with data quality tools and metadata management
- Financial services or banking industry experience
