Job description

  • Design, develop, test, and documentReact-based cross-platform applicationsthat deliver seamless and consistent user experiences.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate feature requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define architecture and ensure best practices for performance, accessibility, and reliability.

  • Writecomprehensive unit and component teststo maintain product quality and prevent regressions.

  • Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback on design and implementation.

  • Continuously improve development workflows and contribute to evolving engineering standards.

  • Explore innovative ideas and emerging technologies through Hackathons and Cafe Days to help drive future PlayStation experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 4+ years of development experiencebuilding user-facing applications or systems using JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Strong proficiency inReactand related tools and libraries.

  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintainingcross-platform applications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to quality.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team environment.

  • Hands-on experience with modern build and testing tools such as Webpack, Babel, Jest, or similar.

  • Familiarity withGraphQL,RESTful APIs, andcontainerization(e.g., Docker).

  • Experience withCI/CD pipelinesand automated testing frameworks.

  • Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design principles.

  • Interest or experience in applying AI/ML conceptsto enhance user experiences - such as intelligent UI behaviors, personalization, recommendation systems, or automated testing tools.

  • Experience integrating or experimenting withAI-powered development tools, frameworks, or APIs (e.g., code assistants, generative models, or LLM-based automation).

  • Experience working on mobile applications on Apple ecosystem.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below. $216,200-$324,400 USD
