Requirements

A federal technology consulting company is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer/Developer - AI to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 12-15+ years of software engineering experience and 8+ years of applied AI/ML experience, with a background in architecting and delivering large-scale AI systems and exposure to areas such as large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI, orchestration frameworks, MLOps, distributed training, and enterprise AI modernization. Experience with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), and full-stack application development is wanted, and prior work with federal environments, AI governance, cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, microservices, and managed AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, and Google Vertex AI is preferred. U.S. citizenship is required, and an active Public Trust, Secret, or higher clearance is a bonus. Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of data science, ML, or AI experience
  • Expert-level Python skills
  • Machine learning, deep learning, and LLM experience
  • RAG, vector databases, and generative AI tools
  • MLOps and production model deployment
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Enterprise-scale AI and analytics delivery
  • Statistics, experimentation, and model evaluation
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
