Job description
As our Senior NMS developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our network by leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the NMS of the Lightspeed system. You will take ownership of complex technical challenges, driving them to successful resolution through expert analysis, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving. Within our Agile SAFe framework, you will play a key role in the scrum team, actively contributing to the release train and ensuring the timely delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality network management solutions.
Main Responsibilities

Lead the design and analysis of NMS applications for managing Lightspeed network elements.

Drive vendor collaboration to evaluate and integrate NMS solutions aligned with industry standards and emerging technologies.

Oversee technical documentation to ensure architectural integrity and development quality.

Maintain comprehensive NMS documentation to support transparency, maintainability, and operational efficiency.

Develop YANG modules for modular resource, service, fault and performance management.

Lead resolution of complex implementation and network issues through cross-functional coordination and root cause analysis.

Design and maintain advanced automated test suites to support NMS validation and CI/CD practices.

Define security standards to ensure system integrity and policy compliance.

Contribute to system-level modeling, including interface definitions and CONOPS for Lightspeed.

Collaborate across engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless NMS integration.

Recommend and drive system-wide improvements to the LEO Lightspeed architecture.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of experience in a similar role.

Demonstrated knowledge of design principles, and specifications for standardized and interoperable NMS Systems.

Solid knowledge of EMS protocols and modelling languages such as: NETCONF/RESTCONF, gRPC/gNMI, gNOI, YANG, UML

Familiarity with TMForum Open Digital Architecture (ODA), Process Framework (eTOM), TMForum APIs, is a plus
-
Familiarity with Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) is an asset.

Knowledge of MEF Lifecycle Service Orchestration (MEF LSO APIs) framework is an asset
