The Product Security Architecture team is looking for the best security

architect to join us in defining and building the future security state

of Palo Alto Networks. Our scope encompasses all aspects of our

business, including product portfolio, enterprise services &

infrastructure, and operations. You’ll be part of a fast moving and

dynamic team that is tightly integrated and focus on execution and

delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*As a Principal Security Architect, you will report into the Product

Security Architecture team, and

will be deeply embedded in our Product

Management and Engineering teams

*You will have responsibilities for secure development methodologies and

mechanisms for all of Palo Alto Networks products and services

*Inform choices through a security lens for the entire development

lifecycle, including design, coding & development, QA & security

testing, and release

*You will participate in SDL and drive software security maturity

*You will drive effective integration and adoption of best practices,

latest methods & techniques in identifying design flaws and software

issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with

security technologies

*Highly proficient in design and analysis of algorithms and data

structures

*Experience in driving effective implementation & adoption of Security

Development Lifecycle (SDL) and software maturity model

*Demonstrated knowledge of security best practices, principles, and

common security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, Common Criteria, TCSEC,

OWASP, etc.

*In-depth knowledge of common application & network protocols,

cryptographic technologies, public key infrastructure, common security

threats, such as attack techniques, evasive techniques, and preventative

& defensive methods

*Experience in developing or deploying in server/client architecture

using hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, OpenStack and

VMware

*Strong understanding of methodologies and tools for threat analysis of

complex systems, such as threat modeling and software fuzzing

*Prior experiencing in implementing and integrating tools for static

analysis, dynamic analysis, fuzzing, and penetration testing

*Demonstrated knowledge

and experience with web security and secure

development practices

*Ability to execute in dynamic and highly technical organizations

*7+ years experience working with product development/engineering and

product management
