Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will develop and deliver data science and AI components to support a defense health mission-critical program. You will work with clients in a consulting/ delivery capacity, turning complex data into actionable analytics and AI solutions. You’ll own analytics, data processing, model development, visualization, and decision-support within multidisciplinary teams. Expect to analyze data across workstreams, build predictive and prescriptive solutions, and drive data-driven decision-making. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and deploy analytics, ML, NLP, and AI solutions aligned with client objectives * Enhance generative AI/RAG components using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, and cloud AI services * Critically evaluate AI outputs, validate data sources, test results, and document decisions * Perform data acquisition, ETL, EDA, feature engineering, and validation using Python, SQL * Apply statistical methods and ML techniques to healthcare, business, and operations challenges * Develop, test, deploy, and monitor AI/ML components for accuracy, reliability, and production readiness * Create dashboards/visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Python as required * Collaborate with clinical/operational/technical stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate findings * Develop and troubleshoot APIs and data services, integrating with enterprise systems and cloud platforms * Collaborate via Git, Agile processes, and code reviews; break work into tasks and manage blockers * Produce technical docs, presentation materials, and knowledge-transfer artifacts * Contribute to technical research and continuous improvement Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Health Informatics, Public Health, or related field (master’s preferred) * Two to four years of applied data science/AI experience * Strong Python and SQL skills for data prep, analytics, modeling, testing, and deployment * Experience developing and evaluating ML models with feature engineering and evaluation * Working knowledge of NLP and modern AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, prompts) * Experience creating dashboards/visual analytics (Power BI, Tableau, Python) * Familiarity with API-based solutions and integrating ML/AI into applications * Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile software development practices * Ability to work across notebook/browser/local environments, learn quickly, manage priorities, and work independently * Strong communication and problem-solving skills; proactive risk/blocker management; able to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences * US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance Key requirements * competitive compensation * bonus opportunities * employer-paid healthcare * professional development funding * 401(k) match
