The Opportunity

We are looking for a Financial Data Validation Analyst with a strong accounting backbone and hands-on Oracle GL experience to join a global financial leader in Charlotte . This is not a technical developer role; it is a ā€œfunctional-technicalā€ position for a professional who understands the accounting side of data flow-specifically how payroll and expense data (ADP, Concur, Coupa) hits the General Ledger.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data during critical system integrations and transformations.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Validation: Perform rigorous data reconciliation between upstream systems (ADP, Concur, Coupa) and Oracle GL .

  • Accounting Integrity: Validate financial data flows, ensuring journal entries and balances (P&L and Balance Sheet) are accurate after transformation.

  • Systems Governance: Support Chart of Accounts (CoA) validation, mapping, and governance; execute and support FBDI data loads .

  • Discrepancy Resolution: Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve data ā€œbreaksā€ and discrepancies within the subledgers.

  • Testing & UAT: Lead SIT and UAT cycles, including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and reconciling expected vs. actual results.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear audit trails and document validation processes to ensure compliance and financial data governance.

Requirements

  • Accounting Fundamentals: Solid understanding of GL, P&L, and Balance Sheet structures.

  • Oracle Expertise: Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud GL is mandatory.

  • Data Flow Mastery: Experience with FBDI , data migration, and validating system integrations (Payroll/Expense platforms).

  • Technical Tools: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, complex reconciliations) and SQL for troubleshooting and data analysis.

  • Testing Background: Proven experience in testing cycles (SIT/UAT) and creating formal validation documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in large-scale ERP implementations or finance transformation projects.

  • Familiarity with SOX controls and financial data governance.

  • Experience managing data across multiple entities or complex organizational structures.

  • Interested? If you have the accounting IQ and Oracle experience required for this role, apply now for immediate consideration.
