Associate Data Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role, you will help transform raw data into reliable, analytics-ready datasets within Snowflake using SQL and dbt. You’ll collaborate with analytics engineers and business users to shape data products that inform reporting and decision-making. You’ll grow through guided mentorship while contributing to impactful projects in the wealth management domain. The opportunity combines hands-on data engineering with modern practices in governance, quality, and observability, all within a hybrid work setup near Charlotte. Compensation / Benefits * Build, test, and maintain dbt/SQL data transformations and pipelines for analytics-ready datasets in Snowflake * Assist in developing dimensional models and reusable data assets to support reporting and decision-making * Implement data validations, tests, and documentation to improve data quality and lineage * Collaborate with analysts, data stewards, engineers, and business users to translate requirements into scalable data solutions * Apply analytical thinking to troubleshoot data issues and propose practical solutions with guidance * Use Git-based workflows with code reviews, testing, and team standards for maintainable data code * Leverage AI-assisted methods to accelerate SQL/dbt development, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting * Participate in agile ceremonies and mentorship to grow professionally and technically * Learn and apply data governance and observability concepts, including lineage and schema health Tasks * Solid foundation in SQL for data transformation and validation * Exposure to dbt and Snowflake; interest in modern analytics engineering practices * Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (branches, pull requests) * Familiarity with Python for scripting a plus * Basic understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT concepts, and analytics workflows * Strong problem-solving skills and methodical approach to complex problems * Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences * Comfort working with business users to clarify requirements and translate them into data needs * Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth * Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure, is a plus * Exposure to data governance, catalog, lineage, or observability tools (Atlan or Monte Carlo) is a plus * Interest in financial technology or wealth management domains is a plus Key requirements * hybrid work schedule * 401K with employer match * medical, dental, vision coverage * HSA employer contribution * Volunteer Time Off * Career Development / Recognition
