Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will secure and optimize Oracle database environments across development, testing, and production. You’ll ensure high availability, security, and performance while supporting migrations and upgrades. You’ll collaborate with application teams to tune schemas and queries and drive disaster recovery readiness. This position offers impact through scalable DB architectures and proactive automation in a cloud-adjacent setting. Compensation / Benefits * Install, configure and upgrade Oracle databases on Linux/Unix/Windows * Perform backup and recovery using RMAN * Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery * Monitor and optimize database performance, queries, indexes, and storage * Apply patches and security updates for compliance * Manage user access, roles and privileges * Troubleshoot issues and provide root cause analysis * Support on-prem to cloud migrations or version upgrades * Collaborate with application teams for schema design and performance tuning Tasks * Oracle Database Administration with strong experience in Oracle 11g/12c/19c * Oracle GoldenGate experience and performance tuning * RMAN and Oracle Data Pump backup/recovery expertise * Performance tuning including SQL tuning, AWR reports, optimizer strategies * High Availability using Oracle RAC and Data Guard * Security, user management, roles, privileges, encryption * Shell scripting for automation * Linux/Unix administration basics * Patching and upgrades (PSU/CPU patches and version upgrades) * Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Key requirements *
