Job description

Seeking a 6-8 years experienced Okta IAM Engineer / Lead with core hands-on Java/J2EE development background and leadership across 4-5 end-to-end Okta implementations. The ideal candidate will possess deep architectural understanding of Okta components, SSO, MFA, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) authentication, API authorization, custom Okta Workflows, custom connector development, account access recertification, and UI/reporting customizations in a 100% on-site setup in Chicago, IL., * Okta Architecture & Configuration: Lead end-to-end Okta product configuration, architectural design, and deployment with minimal custom product-level modification.

  • Workflows & Custom Connectors: Build automated Okta Workflows, custom integration connectors, and Java/J2EE-based enterprise application integrations.
  • Authentication & Authorization: Design and enforce OKTA SSO, MFA, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) authentication, and granular API access management (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC).
  • Governance & Customization: Configure account access recertification, delegated administration, customized Okta UI branding, and custom reporting modules for audit compliance.

Requirements

  • Primary Platform: Okta Identity Cloud, Okta Architecture, Okta Workflows
  • Core Development: 2+ Years Java / J2EE Development Experience
  • Authentication & Access: OKTA SSO, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Auth
  • API Security & Integration: API Authentication/Authorization (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0), Custom Connectors
  • Identity Governance & Operations: Account Access Recertification, Delegated Admin, UI Customization, Reporting
  • Experience: 6-8 Years Total in Identity & Access Management (IAM) with 4-5 Full Lifecycle Okta Implementations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Okta Certified Professional, Administrator, or Consultant certifications.
  • Deep experience developing custom Java/J2EE middleware for identity synchronization.
