Job description
Our client is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and implement solutions within the ServiceNow platform, playing a crucial role in maintaining and continually improving implemented modules across the agency.
Scope of Work
-
Maintain and perform continual service improvements on implemented modules: ITSM, ITFM, HRSD, ITOM, PPM, and SPM.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Work with product owners/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements.

Document and maintain functional business requirements, process flows, and business use cases.
-
Perform operational administrative tasks as needed.
-
Assist with report configuration and maintenance as needed.
-
Configure and maintain data integrations between ServiceNow and other systems.
-
Design and develop ServiceNow forms, tables, and modules.
-
Develop workflow/flow designs where required to drive approvals and process lifecycle.

Design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs, including advanced scripting (including CMS/Service Portal).

Design, create, and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, and similar components in ServiceNow.

Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, agency security guidelines, and governance policies, maintaining as close to an out-of-the-box environment as possible.

Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Stay current on ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends; identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software; troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.

Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.

Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.

Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.

Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects and present findings to management.

Assist in evaluating and recommending application software packages, integration, and testing tools.

Act as team leader on projects; instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on the development team.

Participate in development of software user manuals., * ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
-
Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience across ITSM, ITFM, HRSD, ITOM, PPM, and SPM modules.

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
-
In-depth knowledge of implementing ServiceNow architecture and ServiceNow scripting.
-
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
-
Experience creating ServiceNow update sets and promoting/testing changes through multiple instances into production.
-
Demonstrated knowledge of service management processes, procedures, and software, including ServiceNow.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
