Job description

This role acts as the technical and organizational focal point at transmission system level, ensuring project deliverables are defined, tracked, and completed according to program milestones.

The Systems Project Engineer will combine strong technical understanding with structured project coordination. He/she will monitor system-level progress, lead technical follow-up on critical topics, and ensure effective communication between cross-functional engineering teams including software, hardware, mechanical design, testing, and validation.

The Systems Project Engineer will support the Product Architect who is the System Engineering Technical responsible person and reports to the project team and to the System Engineering Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Owning transmission system-level project deliverables to ensure alignment with program timing and milestones
  • Follow up open actions, technical risks, and engineering dependencies across the project
  • Assist in coordinating activities between cross-functional teams including software, mechanical design, testing, validation, and quality
  • Perform technical deep dives on selected issues, lead issue investigations via 8D process and ensure action follow-up
  • Prepare and maintain project overviews, action lists, and technical status summaries
  • Organize technical meetings and ensure action closure with relevant stakeholders
  • Escalate technical concerns or project blockers through the appropriate channels
  • Contribute to system-level documentation, reviews, and engineering release preparation
  • Perform transmission requirement decompositions
  • Follow-up verification planning at system level as support of the transmission validation engineer
  • Develop increasing ownership of technical coordination topics over time

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar.
  • Interest in automotive system development, especially powertrain or transmission systems.
  • Strong analytical mindset and willingness to understand complex technical systems.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to follow multiple topics simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced technical experts.
  • Fluent in English.
