Job description
We are seeking an experienced Operations Control Center (OCC) and Reporting Manager based in Seville, Spain to lead and oversee the real-time operation, monitoring, and performance optimization of our present portfolio of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plants across Europe and APAC.
As OCC Manager, you will manage a team of control room operators, ensuring 24/7 operational availability, coordinate with on-site teams and external stakeholders if required, and guarantee compliance with grid regulations and safety standards., * Manage and supervise the daily operations of the OCC, ensuring optimal performance of all monitored PV assets.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of control room operators and technical analysts working in shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Monitor real-time data for asset performance, grid compliance, and fault detection using SCADA and other remote monitoring platforms.
- Coordinate and oversee responses to alarms, incidents, and outages in close collaboration with on-site and field teams.
- Analyse operational data to identify underperformance or recurring technical issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare regular reports on plant performance, availability, incidents, and KPIs for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, standardize, and optimise OCC processes, tools, and best practices to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Support commissioning of new PV plants and ensure smooth integration into OCC systems.
- Oversee integration of internally developed tools into OCC operations to enhance performance monitoring and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Renewable Energy, Industrial) or related technical field is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations of renewable energy assets, preferably in a centralized control center.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, SCADA platforms, grid codes, and operational KPIs.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in high-availability operational environments.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English is required; Italian is a plus
