Job description

An innovative engineering organisation is looking to add an experienced Firmware Engineer to its growing development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of embedded firmware for next-generation products within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment. You’ll play a key role throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing and release. About the Role

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for a range of electronic products.
  • Developing embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems.
  • Designing, implementing and debugging real-time embedded software.
  • Working closely with electronics and systems engineers throughout development.
  • Supporting integration, testing, and validation activities.
  • Contributing to code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Producing clear technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
  • Experience working with CAN communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems architecture.
  • Experience debugging embedded systems using standard development tools.
  • A collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills.
