Job description
- The Help Desk Specialist will be fully qualified as a registrar and augment as needed in the event of a staffing shortage
- The Help Desk will be the technical point of contact (POC) for the Installation Access Control Specialists. Possessing in-depth familiarity and knowledge of AEA 190-16. .
- The Help Desk shall fluently speak, read, and write English at ILR Level 5.
- The Help Desk shall be available during normal working hours to assist other Installation Access Control Specialists, Government Registrars, DESs, or Sponsors via telephone, email, or online to address questions and provide solutions IAW AEA 190-16.
- The Help Desk shall draft a monthly newsletter to be reviewed and approved by the COR.
- The Help Desk will track calls and document trends, issues, concerns and questions and will include corrective information in the monthly newsletter. The newsletter shall be designed for all IACS/DBIDS users and comprised of policy clarifications and updates, answer to questions received by the help desk, best practices/lessons learned, announcements of upcoming events, and other important issues.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a T-1 Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Check, and National Agency Check and Inquiry.
- Currently possess U.S. SOFA in OCONUS location and ability to qualify for a Common Access Card to access unclassified US Government computer networks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated capability to manage and lead peers and subordinates in an office environment in Army Garrison or similar OCONUS situation.
- Capability and willingness to provide daily augment support to include taking directions from US Government Civilian employees and Local Nationals in the employ of the US Government.

Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
- 1 year or more as an IACS Specialist Registrar in Germany, Italy, or Belgium.
- Successful experience in a customer-facing/service role.

German (or European) foreign language proficiency is a plus.
- Willingness and physical capability to spend full (8-hour) workday in an office environment that may lack air conditioning in the summer months.
