Senior Network Consultant

The Senior Technical Lead will support NG 9-1-1 migration planning and execution activities and provide technical leadership across stakeholder organizations, vendors, and PSAPs. The role focuses on migration readiness, testing, operational transition, and technical program coordination., * Coordinate NG 9-1-1 migration and pre-migration activities.

• Facilitate technical meetings among Cal OES, PSAPs, network service providers, and vendors.
• Support migration testing, validation, and cutover planning.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
• Develop technical recommendations and solution strategies.
• Maintain NG 9-1-1 system documentation and reference architecture.
• Support operational readiness assessments.
• Contribute to statewide 9-1-1 strategic planning efforts.
• Provide technical status reporting and executive-level updates.

• Minimum 7+ years of telecommunications, networking, or IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale technology deployments.
• Knowledge of NG 9-1-1, E911, ESInet, GIS, SIP, VoIP, or emergency communications technologies.
• Experience leading technical teams and stakeholder engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) experience.
• State or local government experience.
• NG 9-1-1 migration project experience.
• Experience with network operations and telecommunications infrastructure.
