Job description

AESC is a global leader in lithium?ion and LFP battery technology, with a fast?growing footprint across Japan, the UK, France, China, and the USA-soon expanding in Spain with a €1?billion gigafactory in Extremadura to open by ** and create up to 900 direct jobs in phase one.The Spanish facility is designed as the first net?zero industrial park gigafactory in the country, aligning with AESC’s mission to pioneer sustainable battery manufacturing.Role Purpose We are seeking an IT Infrastructure and Support Specialist to support the rollout of the new battery plant in Extremadura Spain.The role’s key objectives are to support our Spanish business users with day?to?day issues, queries and general helpdesk duties.Alongside this, the secondary key objective is to support the wider global IT team with the infrastructure planning and design for the new factory.The position will be based in Navalmoral de la Mata and will require some trips to the Madrid office.Key Responsibilities Supporting networking?related project activities such as fibre, copper cable location planning Rollout and support of network and server infrastructure Main point of helpdesk support for all Spanish users Problem management, investigating, fault?finding, identifying the root cause and implementing permanent fixe Working closely with co?workers from the European and Global IS / IT teams Liaising with various parties e.G. local system users, colleagues from other battery plants, 3 rd party providers, Global / Head Office IS / IT governance e.G. financials, enterprise architecture, hardware & software asset management, policies, procedures and processes Various regular reporting to IS / IT and business management Experience, Qualifications & Special Requirements The ideal candidate will be a Cisco?certified network professional with 5+ years of supporting networks in a manufacturing environment The candidate must have a strong capability in English language Cisco Architecture Nexus (9K, 7K and 2K) or Catalyst Routing protocols (OSPF) Data Centre Security Devices (ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls) Strong knowledge of Windows OS Office 365, inTune and Domain Administration Server and Storage provision, support and sysadmin Experience of Powershell, Python or other automation scripting language Expertise in network?related problem solving / problem resolution is essential Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation (in respect to the design and planning of network communication systems) is essential Experience of leading IT projects, changes and planning activities Preferred Experience Experience in Database maintenance Fluent English level is mandatory A relevant degree is preferred Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure Flexibility to travel occasionally Led by a diverse and experienced management team, AESC employs more than 15,000 professionals worldwide .The company combines state?of?the?art technology, Japanese craftsmanship, and a strong track record in safety to deliver advanced battery solutions.AESC offers a comprehensive portfolio across various cathode chemistries and form factors, including LFP, NCM/MCA, and pouch, cylindrical, and prismatic cell formats.We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, origin, year of birth, disability, or any other legally protected status.#J-***-Ljbffr
