Job description

Responsibility / Duty Testing Services Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Student Access Center (S.A.C.) Testing Lab, including student worker scheduling, training, confirming appropriate coverage during all hours of operation, and ensure proper execution of duties.
  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, academic departments, and staff to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Direct, develop, and manage testing services, including university exams, special testing services, and distance learning exams, ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
  • Maintain and update testing facilities, equipment, and technology, coordinating with vendors and external technical support for upgrades.
  • Schedule students for exams, provide preparatory materials, and ensure smooth test administration.
  • Oversee the check-in process, verify student identity, monitor testing protocols, and provide special accommodations for students with disabilities.
  • Obtains exams from instructors, secures exams, ensures delivery of exams to instructors once complete.
  • Manage data related to testing, and maintain secure exam records.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality in regards to all student information.
  • Reformats exams to large print when needed.
  • Review and update office procedures continually.

Percentage Of Time 75 Responsibility / Duty Administrative and Support Functions

  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to S.A.C., handling communications with students, faculty, and visitors.
  • Disseminates information regarding requirements of S.A.C. and documentation required to receive accommodations.
  • Schedules students for appointments with Director and gathers required information.
  • Fluently utilizes Accessible Information Management (A.I.M.) software for scheduling, receiving intake information, and record keeping.
  • Creates, organizes, maintains, and updates files for active, inactive, and archived students.
  • Independently screens phone calls, interprets office policy in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Independently composes letters for signature of supervisor regarding administrative matters, office policies, or programs.
  • Uses appropriate terminology related to disabilities in all correspondence and communications.
  • Manage the office operations, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring the smooth functioning of both the office and testing lab.
  • Design and prepare bulletin board for office.

  • Attend events as professional staff member as directed by Director
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Access Center, the Dean of Students, and/or the Vice President of Student Affairs.
  • Maintain all coordination of note takers (contracts and verification of work).

Requirements

Prior experience in testing administration, administrative services, or related academic support services preferred.
