Senior Level Systems Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across the systems engineering lifecycle for mission-critical geospatial-intelligence initiatives, spanning NSG, ASG, and other federal programs. You will guide requirements, solution design, integration, and performance analysis to deliver resilient, enterprise-scale capabilities that advance the GEOINT mission. The role demands deep DoD/IC experience and expertise across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Collaborate with government stakeholders to translate needs into system requirements and architectures, and help drive strategic planning and risk management. This is an onsite role in Chantilly or Springfield,- Compensation / Benefits * Provide technical leadership across the systems engineering lifecycle and mentor engineers * Guide requirements engineering, solution engineering, integration, testing, reliability, resiliency, maintainability, and performance analysis * Develop and evaluate designs based on mission requirements and enterprise architecture * Support systems integration across platforms, services, and organizations * Capture and translate mission needs into system requirements and architecture * Evaluate cloud service capabilities and automation opportunities to improve existing systems * Assist with requirements allocation to architecture components * Conduct AoAs, CoAs, trade studies, and engineering assessments * Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, interface design, and risk management * Integrate systems, services, processes, and interfaces across large-scale acquisition programs Tasks * 12+ years of relevant experience in DoD/IC programs * Experience with requirements engineering, PPBES processes, and large System-of-Systems/SOA environments across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures * Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle * Knowledge of NSG, ASG, and NGA/NSG/ASG enterprise environments * Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI eligibility and pass a polygraph * Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field * Previous experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs * Experience with DoD/IC acquisition processes and engineering for complex programs Key requirements * target salary range $112,000 - $179,000 * potential discretionary bonus * overtime eligibility * shift differential * on-site work (Chantilly or Springfield, VA) * benefits not explicitly listed in detail
