Sr. Manager of Software Engineering

Compensation / Benefits * Guide engineers on daily tasks, team output, and best practices * Hire, develop, and maintain a healthy intake pipeline for high-performing talent * Foster morale and cross-team collaboration * Drive innovation and promote knowledge sharing across teams * Own end-to-end delivery of team epics with quality and timeliness * Manage stakeholder relationships with Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams * Promote diversity, inclusion, and growth opportunities * Identify bottlenecks to improve efficiency and developer experience * Manage dependencies and strengthen upstream/downstream partnerships * Set and scale enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation practices with measurable outcomes * Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to drive efficiency and reuse of firm assets * Lead multi-team adoption of AI-assisted development tools with governance and security measures * Advise on responsible AI use in engineering workflows and coach leaders on safe scaling Tasks * Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 10+ years of applied experience * 3+ years of experience managing teams; 8+ years of industry experience * Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists * Code review and design review involvement to ensure architectural alignment * Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, Jenkins, application resiliency, and security * Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field * Proficiency with Java, Spring Framework, Spring WebFlux, GraphQL, Angular, Typescript, CSS, Karma, Phantoma.js, NodeJS, Maven, Oracle/postgres DB, SQL, Microservices, Cloud, Kafka * Security tool experience (Black Duck, Sonar, Fortify) * Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk), Servicenow, SVN or GIT * Talent growth, performance management, and stakeholder communication * Experience leading enterprise AI-assisted development tool adoption Key requirements *
