Android Platform Engineer

Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking an Android Platform Engineer., We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Platform & Enterprise Mobility Consultant to lead the provisioning, configuration, security hardening, and deployment of Android-based devices for a large-scale enterprise rollout. This consultant will provide deep expertise in Android operating systems, device imaging, firmware management, and enterprise mobility practices while establishing repeatable deployment processes and training internal teams., * Prepare, configure, and deploy Android tablets and Android TV devices for enterprise use

• Perform Android OS provisioning, imaging, firmware flashing, and operating system replacement activities
• Remove OEM software and unnecessary manufacturer applications
• Harden device configurations and validate compliance with enterprise security requirements
• Configure devices for secure enterprise use and endpoint management
• Support Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrollment and device lifecycle processes
• Deploy and support vendor-provided software applications on Android endpoints
• Develop standardized deployment, provisioning, and support procedures
• Troubleshoot device, OS, firmware, and deployment-related issues
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure successful rollout
• Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal technical teams
• Establish scalable processes for future device provisioning and deployments

This is not an Android application development role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working at the operating system and device level, including Android OS customization, firmware flashing, device provisioning, enterprise enrollment, and security hardening., * Android Platform Engineering experience

• Deep experience with Android operating systems and device management
• Hands-on experience with Android firmware flashing and OS deployment
• Experience with Android imaging and provisioning processes
• Android device enrollment and enterprise configuration experience
• Strong understanding of Android device architecture and lifecycle management
• Experience securing Android devices in enterprise environments
• Ability to remove OEM applications and customize device configurations
• Knowledge of enterprise security standards and mobile security best practices
• Experience validating secure endpoint configurations
• Experience supporting Android Enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms and large-scale device deployments
• Knowledge of endpoint management and enterprise mobility strategies
• Experience deploying and supporting devices at scale
• Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
• Experience supporting deployment tooling and operating system configurations
• Strong command-line troubleshooting skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP)
• Custom Android ROM development or deployment experience
• Android TV deployment experience
• Android build management experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
