Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Backend)

Experteer Overview In this role you will help Adobe’s Forward Deployment Engineering team deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that bridge product engineering with real-world deployment. You’ll split time between complex technical work and customer-facing collaboration with industry leaders, contributing to the future of digital experiences. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement features based on customer needs with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability * Develop production-ready code for highly available systems, SaaS apps, and RESTful APIs * Maintain high quality through robust testing and observability * Collaborate with tech leads, product management, and engineers to meet business objectives * Contribute to root cause analysis during outages * Stay current with relevant technologies in the Adobe ecosystem and industry * Drive tasks with ownership, clarity, and precision * Engage in technical discussions on customer needs and implementation approaches * Mentor engineers on customer-facing delivery and best practices for production solutions Tasks * 10+ years of software engineering experience * Strong Java or Scala skills with Spring Boot * Expertise in designing RESTful web services * Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases * Experience building large-scale distributed systems and data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, Hadoop) * Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure); Microservice Architecture; Databricks; Snowflake; Airflow * Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js) * Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration * Strong problem-solving and solution modeling abilities * Ownership mindset and ability to navigate diverse requirements Key requirements * bonus and equity * travel 10%-25%
