Software Project Manager

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Software Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical software initiatives supporting Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS). This individual will be responsible for managing software development projects within a custom-built application environment, ensuring alignment between business objectives, operational needs, and technical delivery., The Software Project Manager will provide end-to-end ownership of project execution, including sprint planning, team coordination, stakeholder communication, forecasting, and overall project governance. This role will partner closely with development teams, QA resources, business stakeholders, and leadership to successfully deliver software solutions within an Agile environment., * Own and drive software project execution from planning through delivery

• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Define project priorities, milestones, and commitments with development teams
• Communicate project status, risks, timelines, and progress to leadership
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives
• Manage project forecasting, resource planning, and budget considerations
• Understand operational impacts of software changes and enhancements
• Help evaluate and prioritize bugs, enhancements, and change requests
• Foster accountability and maintain momentum across project teams

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of software development processes, and experience managing custom software applications rather than off-the-shelf solutions., * 5+ years of experience as a Software Project Manager managing software development projects

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience leading Agile software projects and facilitating Agile ceremonies
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience managing custom-built software solutions rather than packaged or off-the-shelf products
• Ability to effectively communicate project status, risks, and timelines to leadership and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project ownership skills Proven ability to lead cross-functional software development teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience within warehouse automation, supply chain, logistics, distribution, or fulfillment environments
• Knowledge of Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)
• Experience supporting software solutions tied to operational workflows
• Ability to distinguish between software defects, enhancements, and change requests
• Experience managing large-scale software initiatives with significant budgets and multiple stakeholders Strong leadership presence with a proactive, accountable approach to project management

$58/hr to $62/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
