Job description

We’re seeking multiple Software Engineer II candidates to help build scalable, cloud-native solutions in support of Nike’s mission to deliver cutting-edge tools for our Consumer Product & Innovation community. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, partnering across disciplines, and applying modern engineering practices to solve real-world problems.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You’ll join a team focused on delivering modular, configurable, and API-first capabilities for internal users across Nike’s Consumer Product & Innovation organization. As a full stack engineer, you’ll contribute to backend service development and frontend interfaces using component-based libraries like React. These solutions will support enterprise-facing applications and enable modern web experiences aligned with Nike’s evolving product creation workflows in the apparel domain.

You’ll work closely with senior engineers to implement scalable features, improve system reliability, and ensure seamless integration with cloud-native infrastructure.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You’ll be part of Nike’s Global Technology organization, reporting to the team’s Engineering Manager or Director. You’ll collaborate daily with fellow engineers, a dedicated Product Manager, and Principal Engineers to deliver impactful software solutions. You’ll also engage with cross-functional teams across Global Technology to align on technical and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 2+ years of hands-on industry software development experience
  • Proficiency with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Experience with cloud architecture, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3
  • Knowledge of modern testing frameworks like Mocha, Jasmine, or Jest
  • Exposure to service-oriented and event-driven architectures, including asynchronous messaging and loosely coupled service interactions
  • Experience with implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning and related data solutions preferred
  • Experience contributing to distributed systems using RESTful APIs, microservices, and domain-driven design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
