Software Engineering Manager 2 - SW Lead

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead a 10-20 person software team to deliver the full SDLC in an Agile setting for mission-critical systems. You will collaborate across software, systems engineering, test and DevSecOps to meet program objectives and use Agile metrics to drive quality and progress. This position combines technical leadership with functional oversight and reports to both the Enterprise SW IPT Lead and the Software Department Manager. The role offers growth in a high-impact, cross-functional environment with a clear mission to advance software for critical defense programs. Compensation / Benefits * Lead a 10-20 person team through full software development and testing life cycle in Agile * Collaborate with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test organizations * Implement and monitor Agile practices and metrics to manage progress and quality * Serve as dual-hatted Technical and Functional Lead reporting to program and functional leadership Tasks * Bachelor in STEM with 9 years of related software development experience OR Master’s with 7 years of related software development experience * Proven leadership in Agile development (Product Owner, SCRUM Master, or team member) * Experience with full SDLC * Experience with real-time, safety-critical, mission-critical or medical software * Proficiency in Java, C, C++, or Python (at least 4 years) * Experience with RTOS (VxWorks, Integrity, or RTLinux) * Familiarity with data interfaces (e.g., 1553, RS-232, Ethernet/IP, etc) * Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance Key requirements * relocation assistance * health insurance * savings plan * paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) * bonus potential
