Cloud Software Engineer Level 2 - AI/ML TS/SCI w/Poly

Experteer Overview In this role you will help design and build cloud-based cyber and AI/ML capabilities hosted on AWS infrastructure. You’ll work within a collaborative, mission-driven team to develop, integrate, test, and sustain cloud software that supports national security objectives. You will tackle scale, reliability, and security challenges across large compute clusters, shaping services with real-world impact. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge cloud and AI/ML technologies in a high-stakes environment. Compensation / Benefits * Conduct cloud software research, development, and engineering across the full software lifecycle (requirements, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, issue diagnosis/resolution) * Develop and deploy solutions on AWS cloud, integrating services with SDKs and APIs * Implement infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines * Build and maintain Java-based distributed systems with attention to networking, multi-threading, and concurrency * Develop and operate containerized microservices with Kubernetes and related tooling * Ensure cloud security and compliance best practices throughout the software lifecycle * Develop and maintain RESTful services and data processing pipelines (big data, NoSQL, JSON/BSON) * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact, scalable capabilities Tasks * Five or more years of relevant software development/engineering experience * Bachelor in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) * Experience with high-level languages such as Java, C, C++ * Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HBase, Accumulo, BigTable, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig) and HDFS * Proven experience in UNIX/Linux environments and scripting (Python, Ruby, Perl) * Familiarity with AWS cloud architecture, SDKs, and cloud services; willingness to obtain cloud certifications listed * Experience with RESTful service development and distributed systems design * Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required) * Experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) distributed computing and observability tools preferred Key requirements * heavily subsidized benefits coverage for dependents * 25 days of PTO per year * eligible to participate in bonus plan
