Experteer Overview In this Cloud Software Engineer role you will develop and integrate cloud-based cyber/AI capabilities at scale, supporting mission-driven work on AWS infrastructure. You will collaborate within an integrated product team to design, deploy, and sustain cloud services, AI/ML features, and secure distributed systems. You’ll tackle requirements analysis, development, testing, and issue resolution to deliver impactful cyber intelligence solutions. This is a chance to shape cutting-edge offerings that advance national security goals and leverage modern cloud-native practices. Compensation / Benefits * Perform cloud software research, development, and engineering activities including requirements analysis, design, implementation, installation, integration, evaluation, and sustainment * Develop and test software, including validation and issue diagnosis/resolution across AWS cloud and on large-scale compute clusters * Build and deploy AI/ML capabilities, including LLMs and RAG frameworks, within distributed systems * Create and maintain RESTful services, automation, and CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices * Work with Linux environments and scripting to support tooling and automation * Apply security-minded approaches and comply with cloud security best practices * Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation or Terraform) for scalable deployments * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, multi-service solutions Tasks * Five or more years of hands-on software development/engineering experience * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) * Proficiency in high-level languages such as Java, C, C++, with experience in distributed systems * Experience with AWS cloud architecture, SDKs/APIs, and cloud services * Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HBase, Accumulo/Big Table, MapReduce, Hadoop/HDFS) and NoSQL architectures * Experience developing RESTful services and UNIX/Linux environments * Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservices * Scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Perl) and familiarity with security/compliance best practices * Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or ability to obtain one; willingness to obtain cloud certification(s) listed * Experience with CI/CD, observability tools, and OSS/COTS integration Key requirements * heavily subsidized benefits coverage * 25 days of PTO * bonus plan eligibility * professional development opportunities
