Senior Software Development Engineer, AWS Insights Reporting

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and scale systems that assemble and deliver cost and usage reports for AWS customers. You will work on the data export platform behind CUR, CUR 2.0, Data Exports, and Classic Reports, tackling challenges in accuracy, conformance, delivery latency, and large-scale reporting. You collaborate with Billing, AWS, and product teams to ensure timely, complete, and reliable reports. This position combines hands-on coding with driving architectural excellence and mentoring engineers to raise the bar across the team. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement large-scale data assembly and report delivery systems handling trillions of line items * Optimize pipelines for throughput, latency, and cost efficiency * Drive architecture, data modeling, and system design decisions * Lead projects end-to-end, decomposing work for parallel execution * Simplify code and address architectural deficiencies (performance, scale, operational gaps) * Mentor engineers, lead design/code reviews, and raise engineering standards * Own operational excellence including monitoring, runbooks, alarms, and on-call readiness Tasks * 5+ years of professional software development experience * 5+ years programming experience in at least one language * 5+ years leading design or architecture for new and existing systems * Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leadership Key requirements *
