Standard Iron is seeking a Senior Advanced Design Engineer to lead complex product development initiatives and innovative engineering solutions that meet customer needs and manufacturing objectives. This role is ideal for an engineer with ~5-10 years of experience who is ready to mentor emerging engineering talent, apply strong technical expertise, and collaborate across functions to bring products from concept through production. The Role: Learn, Develop, Deliver As an Sr. ADE, your primary goal is to technical development and ensure successful execution by: Leading Design & Development

  • Own full product development cycles from concept through production
  • Create and maintain engineering models, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Lead design architecture and engineering decision-making
  • Drive innovation in product performance, cost, and manufacturability

Project & Technical Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and sales
  • Establish project scope, timelines, and technical requirements
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Participate in customer and supplier discussions to ensure successful project outcomes

Mentorship & Development

  • Mentor Emerging Engineering team members
  • Provide technical guidance and design reviews
  • Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement
  • Lead development of innovative products and processes that improve performance and efficiency, * Gain exposure to the complete product development lifecycle-from concept through production
  • Collaborate with experienced engineering, manufacturing, and business leaders
  • Take ownership of meaningful projects that directly impact customer success

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in FEA, structural design, and material selection
  • Deep understanding of DFM, fabrication, and welding processes
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and fuel systems… and the applicable regulations
  • Ability to independently manage assigned engineering projects and priorities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Expertise in CAD(Creo) modeling and engineering documentation, * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • ~5-10 years of engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, or a related environment
  • Proven ability to lead projects and deliver results
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills
  • Ability to balance technical requirements, customer expectations, and business objectives
