Senior QA Analyst (Manual Testing / API Testing)

Hyatt is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to support quality assurance efforts for strategic enhancements to Hyatt’s customer loyalty and rewards platform. This individual will play a critical role in validating customer-facing web applications and APIs that support loyalty points, member experiences, and related digital services., Perform comprehensive manual testing of customer-facing web applications and APIs. Validate new functionality supporting Hyatt’s loyalty and rewards platform. Develop detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test execution plans based on business requirements. Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing. Perform extensive REST API testing using modern API testing tools. Analyze API requests, responses, payloads, authentication, and error handling. Validate data flow between frontend applications and backend services. Identify, document, and communicate software defects with detailed reproduction steps. Debug application issues using browser developer tools, API logs, and network traffic analysis. Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams to resolve defects efficiently. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Provide clear testing status updates, risk assessments, and release readiness recommendations. Support production validation activities during software deployments. 1. Hospitality industry experience.
2. Experience supporting hotel loyalty, guest engagement, reservations, or digital customer experience platforms.
3. Experience testing customer loyalty or rewards applications.
4. Experience working with distributed enterprise systems and microservices.
5. Strong understanding of customer-facing digital applications.
6. Experience participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)., This is a hands-on manual testing role focused on functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and debugging skills, exceptional communication abilities, and experience testing modern web applications within an enterprise environment. Previous hospitality industry experience is highly preferred., 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. 5+ years performing enterprise-level manual testing. Extensive experience testing REST APIs. Strong experience testing modern web applications. Experience validating complex business workflows across multiple integrated systems. Advanced understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, request/response payloads, JSON, and API authentication. Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills. Experience working directly with developers to troubleshoot application defects. Experience creating detailed test plans, test cases, and defect documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technical teams. Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments., The ideal candidate is a senior manual QA professional who excels at API validation, application debugging, and end-to-end testing within complex enterprise environments. This individual is an exceptional communicator, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and has prior experience supporting hospitality technology or customer loyalty platforms. The successful candidate will be comfortable investigating defects, validating business processes, and ensuring a seamless digital experience for Hyatt guests.
