Job description

Experteer Overview As a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, you will shape and own substantial parts of our platforms, guiding multiple teams to align with business goals. You’ll mentor engineers, drive architectural initiatives, and advance our medium-term technical roadmap. You’ll reduce debt and streamline delivery, tackling complex technical challenges with cross-functional partners. This role offers the chance to influence high-impact projects within a market-leading trading technology business. Compensation / Benefits * Coordinate and align efforts across engineering teams to hit business goals * Mentor engineers and act as a technical subject matter expert * Architect and own significant platform components from design to delivery * Shape the medium-term technical roadmap and prioritize high-impact areas * Reduce technical debt and automate to accelerate reliable delivery * Assess and mitigate product-level technical risks and uncertainties * Lead large-scale projects with cross-functional impact * Foster cross-team collaboration and information flow through formal networks * Communicate business and technical context to align organizational decisions * Contribute to strategic plans and influence organizational direction Tasks * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; two years of post-baccalaureate software engineering experience in trading/finance * Experience mentoring at least five engineers, leading projects, tracking progress, and owning lifecycle accountability * Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Golang, Redis, MongoDB * Experience with AI tooling and infrastructure * Strong ability to align teams with client and organizational goals * Strategic and effective communication skills for cross-functional influence Key requirements * healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision) * 401k match * parental leave * HSA contribution match * Calm app subscription * tuition reimbursement
