Job description

  • Manage and optimize financial operations within the Azure cloud environment, focusing on cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Drive FinOps adoption and maturity by working with key stakeholders to embed financial/cost management (FinOps) practices into their day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and enforce financial governance policies and procedures for Azure resources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain financial dashboards and reports.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and identify opportunities to maximize return on investment (ROI) for Azure services.
  • Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify cost drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and regulatory requirements related to cloud spending.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Azure cost management tools and best practices.
  • Stay current with the latest Azure cost management tools, services, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or experience in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Azure cost management tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud financial governance and best practices.
  • Experience with public cloud financial components/concepts, e.g., cost & usage reports, reserved instances, savings plans, committed use discounts, enterprise discount programs, spot pricing, etc.
  • Experience with financial reporting and dashboard tools, such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, services, and pricing models.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on cost efficiency and optimization.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Azure Data Explorer (Kusto), SQL, Power Query/DAX, PowerShell (Preferred).
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure FinOps, Azure Cost Management).
