Senior Control System Integration & Design Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will drive ICS/OT design and integration projects, focusing on PLC, SCADA/HMI, and OT cybersecurity. You will collaborate with clients and internal consultants to shape control system architectures and support commissioning and startup. You’ll translate P&IDs and specifications into robust control schemes while guiding colleagues and maintaining sound technical judgment. This opportunity offers meaningful impact in shaping industrial automation for environmental engineering projects with cross-functional teams. Compensation / Benefits * Represent client needs in ICS/OT design and integration * Design, configure, and program PLC systems * Design, configure, and program SCADA/HMI solutions * Manage control system commissioning and startup * Facilitate design reviews with clients and BC consultants * Analyze P&IDs, specifications, and control strategies * Handle ICS/OT networking and enforce cybersecurity requirements * Adapt to additional assignments as needed * Mentor less experienced team members as applicable Tasks * Minimum 5 years of related experience in Control System Integration and Design and ICS/OT systems * Typically certified in the SMS Framework, progressing through SMS competencies * Educational background listed (Bachelor in relevant field) * Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities * Proficiency in PLC design, configuration, and programming * Competency in SCADA/HMI design, configuration, and programming * Understanding of ICS/OT networking and cybersecurity requirements * Ability to work independently with guidance on complex issues * Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months (strongly preferred) Key requirements * medical * dental * vision * 401(k) with employer match * performance-based bonus eligibility * tuition reimbursement
