Principal IOM Mainframe Developer

Experteer Overview In this Principal IOM Mainframe Developer role, you will maintain and transform high-volume mainframe platforms in the Defined Contribution Product Record Keeping domain. You will lead, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You’ll work with mainframe technologies and contribute to production deployments and system improvements. This role offers scope to shape enterprise retirement platforms and drive exceptional user experiences in an agile squad. Compensation / Benefits * Maintain and enhance large mainframe systems (Cobol, CICS, VSAM, JCL) * Design, develop, and implement software for production environments * Deploy and support software releases * Collaborate with business partners to define requirements and solutions * Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical leadership to team members * Estimate scope and effort for projects * Perform detailed analysis for maintenance/enhancement of batch and online processes * Engage in testing processes to ensure quality and reliability Tasks * 8+ years of software development experience on large mainframe-based systems * Strong hands-on proficiency with mainframe languages and tools (Cobol, CICS, VSAM, JCL, FileAid, Endevor) * DB2 database knowledge and concepts * Experience deploying to production and understanding release processes * Knowledge of testing processes; willingness to learn broader tech (cloud, Java) is a plus * Ability to gather requirements from business partners and translate into solutions * Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills * Strategic thinking with a growth mindset and willingness to learn and share knowledge Key requirements *
