Principal Cloud Engineer, Service Ownership

Experteer Overview In this role, you will drive the technical direction for enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure within the Consumer Goods Cloud area. You’ll blend hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to deliver secure, reliable, multi-region platforms. You will shape architectural standards, mentor engineers, and partner with Product and Security to meet enterprise requirements. The role offers opportunities to influence cloud-native transformations and platform modernization at a global scale. Compensation / Benefits * Lead incident response for critical platform issues and drive post-incident improvements * Architect and oversee large-scale, multi-region infrastructure and automation systems * Define technical strategy and roadmaps for platform evolution and modernization * Facilitate cross-functional reviews of reference architectures and standards * Manage post-implementation reviews to iterate on standards and models * Collaborate with Product and Security to ensure enterprise compliance (Hyperforce, SDB) * Lead complex migration projects for critical business systems * Drive platform reliability initiatives including SLA, DR, and BC planning * Establish engineering excellence standards and governance * Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and support career development * Collaborate with executive leadership on platform strategy and resource planning * Drive innovation through PoCs, tech evaluations, and platform research * Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships Tasks * 8+ years of senior-level experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE at scale * Proven track record architecting and implementing large-scale distributed systems * Expert programming skills in Python, NodeJS, or Java * Expert-level cloud platform experience (AWS/GCP) * Deep Kubernetes and containerization expertise * Experience with Infrastructure as Code at scale (Terraform Enterprise) * Expert knowledge of CI/CD architecture (Jenkins Enterprise, GitHub Actions) * Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and scalability * Advanced networking and security including zero-trust and compliance * Proven leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration * Strong business acumen and ability to translate tech to business value Key requirements * time off programs * medical * dental * vision * mental health support * paid parental leave
