Sr. Software Engineer (ServiceNow)

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead ServiceNow engineering for large-scale, DoD-focused deployments, aligning ITSM and automation with RMF/A&A requirements. You’ll steer a cross-functional team through the SDLC, collaborating with PMs and technical leads to deliver secure, production-ready solutions. You’ll work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment to solve complex enterprise challenges and advance technical excellence. Compensation / Benefits * Oversee deployment, administration, development, and integration of ServiceNow on RHEL and Windows * Lead Agile, Scrum, and SDLC-driven project execution and continuous improvement * Coordinate with Project Managers and Technical Leads on progress, risks, and challenges * Direct integration with Cisco NSO, GOTS, and other enterprise tools * Maintain technical documentation and provide user handoff training * Monitor IT system and application performance and respond to issues * Lead hardening and RMF A&A activities for compliance * Automate ServiceNow deployment using Ansible, Python, Terraform, PowerShell * Manage troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement * Guide SDLC-based engineering projects to meet scope and budget * Deliver deployable, production-ready solutions with minimal manual intervention * Perform additional duties as needed in a dynamic environment Tasks * TS SCI Poly * 16 years of experience or equivalent education history * IAT Level 2 certification requirements * At least 5 years ServiceNow experience * ServiceNow Certified System Administrator * At least one additional advanced ServiceNow certification * Team leadership experience * Experience across concept/design/engineering/production/sustainment phases of ServiceNow SDLC * Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SDLC methodologies * Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead others * Experience automating ServiceNow implementations for large-scale deployments * Hands-on experience with automated testing/validation methods * Excellent client-facing and written communication skills * Cross-platform experience (Windows, Linux) * Experience with MariaDB or databases, ideally MariaDB * JavaScript development in ServiceNow and integration with Java/Python/Perl/PowerShell * Knowledge of ITSM and ServiceNow or similar tools * Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Strong documentation and problem-solving abilities * Ability to adapt to dynamic priorities Key requirements * Family Medical * Dental with adult orthodontia and Vision * PTO * Maternity/Paternity Leave * Supplemental Military Leave Pay * 11 Paid Holidays,401(k) plan with 6% Company Contribution`
