NET Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will own the full lifecycle of a government-critical .NET web application, from maintenance to new improvements. You’ll work in a small team and directly with stakeholders to translate needs into secure, scalable solutions. You’ll balance legacy code exploration with delivering modern fixes, in a DoS-regulated environment. The position emphasizes independent problem-solving, code quality, and collaboration with security teams to meet agency requirements. Compensation / Benefits * Own end-to-end development, maintenance, and enhancements of the .NET web application * Develop and maintain front-end components with React and Razor views * Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical debt independently * Collaborate with government stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions * Write clean, documented, and testable code following secure development practices * Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation * Coordinate with client IT and security teams to ensure compliance with DoS security policies * Manage deployments and support application environments per government change control procedures Tasks * 5-7 years of professional software development experience * Active Secret clearance at time of application * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) * Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework (ASP.NET, .NET Core) * Experience with React for front-end development * Experience with Razor Pages / Razor Views (ASP.NET MVC or Razor Pages) * Working knowledge of SQL Server or equivalent relational databases * Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration * Proficiency with Git or equivalent version control systems * Ability to work independently and self-manage priorities with minimal oversight * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills * Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences Key requirements * flexible time off * robust learning resources * healthcare benefits * retirement options * family support * continued education opportunities
