Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the Agentic Planning and Memory team to design and scale the next generation of proactive, memory-aware AI capabilities within Google Workspace. You will own system architecture for autonomous workflows, tool-calling, and context retention, collaborating with AI and product partners to deliver impactful improvements at scale. You’ll influence long-term technical strategy while guiding a growing team of engineers and ML experts. This is a mission-driven role at a global scale, shaping how productivity tools work 5-10 years into the future. Compensation / Benefits * Design and architect agentic planning and memory systems to ensure reliability and performance * Define the long-term technical roadmap for memory layers and planning infrastructure * Lead system designs enabling autonomous tool-calling and context awareness * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate function-calling capabilities into core Workspace products * Manage organizational growth, staffing, and technical strategy for the team Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience * 8 years of software development experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript * 5 years of experience in leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning) * 3 years in a technical leadership role * 2 years of experience with state-of-the-art GenAI techniques (LLMs, multi-modal, large vision models) or related concepts (language modeling, computer vision) * 2 years of people management or team leadership experience Key requirements * bonus target * equity * benefits
