Systems Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Systems Engineer, you will shape the architecture and integration of a US Navy digital ground station for in-fill and ex-fill comms. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable specifications, select components, and oversee end-to-end validation. The role offers early involvement in a new architecture, with potential to grow into a Lead Systems Engineer. You contribute to a mission-critical program, delivering reliable, high-performing systems. This position blends hands-on integration with MBSE practices to drive impactful outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement complex system architectures aligned to technical requirements * Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into technical specifications * Evaluate hardware, software, and network components to meet performance objectives * Install and configure system hardware, operating systems, and software * Develop and execute test plans for end-to-end validation and system integration * Troubleshoot and ensure reliable system performance across multi-component environments * Create and maintain system documentation including configurations and procedures * Collaborate with software, network, and DSP teams to ensure cohesive integration * Contribute to the full Systems Engineering V lifecycle (CONOPS, CDR, PDR, trade studies, ICDs) * Provide technical support to internal teams and resolve system-related issues * Develop MBSE artifacts using SysML or similar tools and drive process improvements Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in engineering * 5+ years across the full Systems Engineering V life cycle * Experience in designing systems architectures and related documentation (CONOPS, CDR, PDR, trade studies, traceability, ICDs) * Hands-on experience with hardware, OS, networks, and software in complex systems * Proven system integration, testing, and troubleshooting across multiple components * Experience with requirements development, CONOPS, and test plan creation * Experience collaborating with software, network, and DSP teams * Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI Key requirements * Medical, dental & vision * 401(k) Retirement Plan * Life Insurance and AD&D * Disability insurance * HSA * PTO / paid time off
