Systems Engineer V

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the capture, analysis, and design of complex systems using MBSE with a focus on meeting performance, cost, and schedule goals. You will work in a cross-functional, technically rigorous environment to manage risk, verify system requirements, and communicate status to stakeholders. The role involves full lifecycle systems engineering from requirements through verification and is embedded in a collaborative team aiming to shape high-impact programs. You’ll contribute to bids and continuous improvement while applying Agile practices where suitable. Compensation / Benefits * Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace system requirements to ensure completeness and testability * Model and design systems/sub-systems using MBSE and SysML tools * Develop system/sub-system test procedures and verify requirement conformance * Plan and execute work to meet schedule, cost, and performance goals * Assess and manage technical risks across requirements and designs * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including leadership, program management, quality, and production * Represent the systems engineering team in stakeholder meetings and communicate status, issues, and risks * Support configuration and change management to maintain traceability * Participate in or lead peer reviews of requirements, designs, models, and test artifacts * Contribute to bids, proposals, and technical content for pursuits * Apply Agile practices to support iterative design and verification * Support Earned Value Management (EVM) processes with technical inputs Tasks * Experience developing, decomposing, and deriving system and sub-system requirements * Experience with MBSE concepts and tools * Experience in system and sub-system design definition * Proficiency in SysML-based modeling * Ability to plan and execute SE activities to meet schedule, cost, and performance objectives * Experience developing and verifying test procedures at system and sub-system levels * Ability to manage technical risks by assessing requirements and design trade-offs * Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams * Eligibility for and ability to maintain a Top Secret security clearance (active and transferable) * Demonstrated ability to represent systems engineering in technical discussions and reviews Key requirements * Medical, dental & vision * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D) * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Paid time off (PTO) or vacation/sick leave
