Job description

Experteer Overview As Weapons Systems Test Engineer, you advance test strategy and execution for advanced strike weapon systems. You will lead test planning, execution, and reporting, supporting rapid prototyping, system integration, and field/flight testing. You collaborate with sponsors, labs, industry, and UARCs/FFRDCs to ensure credible verification through rigorous test and evaluation. This role focuses on shaping testing approaches, safety considerations, and technical recommendations that drive development progress and risk reduction. You join a mission-driven team committed to national defense challenges and innovative weapons engineering. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary teams spanning sponsors, labs, industry, and other entities on requirements analysis, technology development, acquisition, test planning and evaluation * Assess weapon system requirements, architecture, and design implications for test planning and scenario development * Develop and maintain test strategy and objectives for ground tests, flight tests, experiments, demonstrations, and simulations * Create test requirements, objectives, plans, and schedules for ground and flight testing aligned with development activities * Evaluate performance predictions to assess flight feasibility and safety implications * Coordinate internal and external test resources to meet facilities, personnel, and technical needs * Analyze test data to identify deficiencies, root causes, and recommended improvements * Deliver formal presentations and reports to sponsors and stakeholders detailing technical recommendations Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or related technical field * 3+ years of systems test engineering experience in development and test/evaluation of complex systems * Experience with requirements analysis, system design/architecture, and weapon/missile system testing * Proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks independently * Strong initiative and willingness to develop new skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams * Willingness to travel 15-20% to sponsor, contractor, and test sites * Ability to obtain SAP level access and Interim Secret security clearance, with potential for Top Secret/SCI * Eligibility for U.S. citizenship and security clearance * Desirable: advanced degree and/or formal T&E program background Key requirements * robust education assistance program * retirement contributions * comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits * paid time off and disability coverage * flexible spending accounts * work-life balance
