Job description

As a Senior Java AI Developer, you will lead the design and development of cloud-native, event-driven applications while driving AI-assisted software engineering practices across the SDLC. You will leverage Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, cloud platforms, and Generative AI technologies to build scalable, resilient, and intelligent enterprise solutions., * Lead the design and development of scalable Java-based, cloud-native applications and microservices.

  • Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka, REST APIs, and distributed system architectures.
  • Drive modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to cloud-native and microservices-based solutions.
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud environments.
  • Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Establish AI-assisted engineering standards, workflows, and best practices across teams.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver business solutions.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure application quality, security, resiliency, and performance.
  • Mentor developers on Java, cloud-native development, event streaming, and AI-enabled engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience developing Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-based enterprise applications.
  • Strong expertise in Kafka, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and RESTful services.
  • 6+ years of experience with cloud-native technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or PCF.
  • Hands-on experience using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, GPT, Gemini, or similar platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience implementing AI/ML solutions or AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Aerospike, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or other relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of observability, resiliency, performance engineering, and production support practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira/Confluence, system modernization initiatives, and financial services environments preferred.
