Would you like to join an incredibly talented group of people, doing very challenging work, with the prime directive of “Keeping Our Heroes Connected”?, Silvus is seeking a Senior Test Engineer who will report to the R&D Director, Machine Learning on the Research and Development team. The successful individual in this role will be part of the R&D team that understands performance requirements, develops test plans, implements testing infrastructure and streamlined test automation, and performs demonstration of Silvus’ MANET radios and other wireless products and technologies under development., * Design and test complete solutions using Silvus hardware and software products that solve unique technical problems and provide full coverage of wireless communication system feature sets.

• Work closely with R&D system engineers and Engineering teams to understand performance requirements and expected system behaviors, define test plans and implement test automation, perform troubleshooting and qualification of new designs.
• Work closely with the software development team to augment test systems to support rollout of new features and product configurations.
• Design and implement logging and analysis tools to capture performance of both the systems under test and the test infrastructure itself.
• Utilize cloud infrastructure to facilitate data collection, organization, and analysis.
• Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes in a practical environment.
• Perform other related duties, of which the above are representative.
• Travel Requirements - Occasional domestic travel away from the office, including overnight, to support experimentation and demonstration of cutting-edge technology under development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, specifically in embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and python; OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience including embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and python with an advanced degree.
• Demonstrated experience in wireless/networking electronics manufacturing and/or R&D environment.
• Proven experience with large test dataset collection, interpretation, and analysis.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proven experience with wireless and radio communication systems, radio frequency signal propagation principles, and digital communication technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP networking.
• Excellent organizational skills, attentiveness to details, and ability to multi-task and quickly switch gears.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills to effectively communicate internally and with customers.

• Walking/Moving in the labs.

COMPENSATION: $130,000 - $170,000 / annually
