Role details
Tech stack
Job description
- Define and evolve the target architecture for a scalable SaaS platform (availability, performance, cost, and maintainability).
- Build enterprise-ready foundations: reliability, observability, incident response, data governance, access control, auditability, and operational maturity.
- Set clear technical standards: service boundaries, API contracts, data architecture, testing strategy, CI/CD, release practices, and rollback strategy.
- Establish a pragmatic roadmap for platform modernization without slowing feature delivery.
-
Engineering execution (accountability, aggressive deadlines, unblocking) * Turn company goals into a delivery machine: clear priorities, scoped milestones, strong ownership, and consistent shipping cadence. * Build and run execution rituals: planning, estimation, weekly delivery checkpoints, tech reviews, postmortems, and quality gates. * Identify bottlenecks early (people/process/tech) and unblock quickly-especially cross team dependencies between engineering, design, and GTM. * Raise the engineering bar: code review culture, system design quality, testing discipline, and operational excellence. * Own staffing plans: hiring, onboarding, performance management, leveling, and growth paths for engineers and tech leads.
-
Cross-functional leadership & communication * Translate business priorities into technical plans that the CEO and non-technical stakeholders can trust. Communicate trade-offs clearly (speed vs. correctness, cost vs. scale, build vs. buy).
- Build a high-trust culture across a distributed team with strong written documentation and crisp decision-making.
Requirements
- Proven CTO / VP Eng / Head of Engineering experience scaling a SaaS product from an early stage toward enterprise-ready.
- Strong architecture judgment across: distributed systems, backend services, data pipelines, security, reliability, and cloud infrastructure.
- Track record of shipping under aggressive deadlines while improving quality and predictability.
- Exceptional people leadership: hiring, coaching, accountability, and building a high performing, low-politics culture.
- Fluent English (spoken + written) for leadership communication, documentation, and working with global customers/partners.
Nice to have
- Experience in ad-tech / marketing tech, creative tooling, analytics, or workflow platforms.
- Background working with ML/AI product teams (LLMs, creative generation, MLOps).
