Job description

Experteer Overview In this Technology Risk Manager role, you strengthen Schwab’s ability to identify and mitigate technology risk across security and software development practices. You’ll partner with tech, security, risk, audit, and business teams to oversee application security and SDLC processes, translating risk into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders. You’ll influence risk-informed prioritization and drive sustainable change in a fast-moving environment, contributing to integrity, resilience, and client trust. Compensation / Benefits * Partner with technology, security, risk, audit, and business teams to evaluate risk practices and assess policy alignment * Provide independent oversight of application security and SDLC processes * Translate technical risk into actionable insights for stakeholders at varying levels of expertise * Develop and report cybersecurity metrics to quantify risk reduction and program effectiveness * Collaborate across functional teams to drive risk-informed outcomes and influence change * Adapt to an evolving environment while meeting critical commitments under pressure Tasks * 3+ years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, information technology, technology audit, or technology risk management * Understanding of application security and SDLC practices, and how risks are identified, assessed, and managed * Ability to identify, assess, and prioritize technology and cybersecurity risks using established methodologies * Experience evaluating processes for alignment with policies, standards, controls, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices * Ability to communicate complex technical and risk concepts to both technical and executive audiences * Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, influencing, and conflict resolution skills * Experience developing and reporting cybersecurity metrics to quantify risk reduction and program effectiveness * Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams to drive risk-informed outcomes Key requirements * bonus or incentive opportunities
