Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will define and lead the scientific vision for full-funnel campaign optimization, building models that allocate budget across sponsored ad products to maximize advertiser value and long-term customer impact. You will guide production-ready research, partner with engineering and product, and directly influence advertiser ROAS and new-to-brand growth. You will mentor researchers, run large-scale experiments, and push the boundaries of optimization science at Amazon scale. This is a rare charter to shape core algorithms from prototype to production and drive measurable outcomes for advertisers and shoppers. Compensation / Benefits * Define the long-term scientific vision for full-funnel optimization and translate advertiser needs into a concrete roadmap * Invent, prototype, and productionize ML and optimization solutions for joint budget allocation across sponsored ad products * Develop rigorous incrementality measurement and long-term-sales modeling to anchor optimization in true advertiser value * Design and lead large-scale experiments to validate hypotheses and guide product direction * Partner with engineering and product to define data schemas and serving contracts for production models * Raise the technical bar through mentorship, reviews, and hands-on collaboration * Grow scientific talent and publish impactful research internally and at top-tier venues Tasks * PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field * 5+ years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling and analysis * Experience distilling informal customer requirements into well-defined problems amid ambiguity * Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or related languages * Experience leading scientists and developing junior members into a business context Key requirements * health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) * 401(k) matching * paid time off * RSUs * sign-on payments * parential leave
